By Sea

TRAVELLING by sea has a particularly calming effect – so that should put you in the perfect mood for your holiday in Cork!

The ultra-modern ferry terminal at Ringaskiddy, less than 20 kilometres from the city centre, has regular scheduled sailings with Brittany Ferries to and from Roscoff on the north coast of France. So starting your family holiday in the beautiful south-west of Ireland couldn’t be easier.

From the UK, you can sail into Rosslare, just 120 miles east of Cork city, from either Fishguard or Pembroke.

Many luxury cruise liners stop over at Cobh (pronounced ‘cove’) between March and October each year. This historic port, with spectacular views over one of Europe’s finest natural harbours, is less than half an hour from the city.
