By Road

CORK is one of those rare corners of the world where it’s still an unashamed pleasure to travel by car.

That’s because it’s a natural hub, with national roads spreading out across the county to Dublin (N8) and Waterford (N25) to the east, Limerick (N20) to the north, and Killarney (N22) to the west … and every single one of them with picture-postcard villages and towns perfect for a pit-stop along the way.

If you fancy letting the professionals do the driving, Bus Éireann has its nationwide network at your service, as do other operators including the Coach Tourism and Transport Council of Ireland, which represents the country’s independent tour companies.
