By Taxi
A taxi ride is often a tourist’s first experience of a new city – and in the case of Cork, it’s a fast and pleasant way to arrive in the centre. Your fare from the airport should be between €15 and €20.
The city and suburbs are well served by taxis and hackneys, and a late-night rank operates from Patrick Street in the city centre. The taxis, which you can pick up outside Brown Thomas, run from 12 midnight right up to 3:30am on Friday and Saturday nights. This rank is marshalled by security staff and monitored by the Irish police force, An Garda Síochána.
